Episode 13: Kenny Foster
The Missouri native talks about making it in Nashville and his alternate tunings for songwriting
You may have heard Kenny Foster in a number of places. Playing the Vegas ACM stage, or on the radio with his ode to his shaken home of Joplin, MO, "Hometown." Kenny stopped by The Attic Lounge after a tasting event we had in the auditorium. When Kenny first got to Nashville, he was one of the few who actually understands the act of sticking it out in the music industry and is here for the music and because he has to be. Kenny's session speaks a lot to the "art of making it" and is a huge insight to chasing the dream in Nashville. Kenny's hard work is paying off this year. After releasing "Hometown" to radio stations across the country, the song was also featured on "Extreme Home Makeover." Kenny stopped by and went straight into "In That Rain" with an amazing dobro solo attached to it by veteran Josh Matheny. After that, he slowed it down with "Try" a great love ballad that will be Kenny's next release. Check out his music here, and download his EP.
